The Worlds and Colonies of the Science Fiction Series “PARADISE 4.0”
Our latest article takes you to the world of HOPE – a fascinating colony settled in 2101, more than 2,000 light-years from Earth by just a few thousand people. In the section “Worlds”, you’ll learn what makes this mysterious planet unique and what challenges await its inhabitants. More descriptions of the worlds and colonies from the science fiction series Paradise 4.0 will follow periodically. Stay tuned – the future might be closer than you think. Now is PLANET Earth History Online!Reaching for the Stars or Reaching into Empty Pockets? The Race to the Moon and Mars
While Earth grapples with climate change, social unrest, and economic instability, the gaze of the powerful is fixed upward. NASA and private players like Elon Musk’s SpaceX are pursuing an audacious goal: the permanent colonization of the Moon as a stepping stone for the first manned Mars mission in the 2040s. Yet, behind the glittering facade of technological progress lie astronomical costs and life-threatening risks.
The Milestones: Artemis and the Starship
NASA’s Artemis program aims to return humans to the Moon in the coming years, this time, to stay. A base at the lunar South Pole is intended to serve as a testing ground for life-support systems. Elon Musk goes even further: his "Starship" is designed to form a fleet capable of transporting tens of thousands to Mars to establish a self-sustaining civilization.
The Trillion-Dollar Question
- The Moon: The lack of an atmosphere and a weak magnetic field lead to high radiation exposure.
- The Mars Transit: The months spent in transit expose the human body to radiation doses that massively increase cancer risks and can cause irreversible damage to the nervous system.
- Bunker Living: A Mars base would likely have to be hidden beneath the surface or shielded behind thick layers of regolith (Moon/Mars dust) to ensure survival. Life would be spent in "radiation-proof cellars" rather than under an open sky.
The financial dimensions of these projects defy imagination. Experts estimate that building a functional lunar base alone will cost well over $500 billion. When you factor in the development of Mars technology, resource transport, and the maintenance of a base on the Red Planet, estimates quickly soar to over one trillion dollars. A further increase to more than double that sum is logical and highly probable. Catastrophes are inevitable, given that Mars is certainly not "just around the corner." Critics raise a vital question: Is it ethically justifiable to invest such sums in outer space while Earth's infrastructure crumbles, education systems are underfunded, and hunger increases in many regions? A trillion dollars could massively alleviate the global energy crisis through renewables or revolutionize healthcare worldwide.
The Silent Killer: Cosmic Radiation
Beyond the money, biology remains the greatest obstacle. Outside Earth’s protective magnetic field, astronauts are defenseless against cosmic radiation.
Conclusion: Salvation or Escape?
Elon Musk argues that humanity (or perhaps just his billionaire inner circle) must become a "multi-planetary species" to ensure long-term survival. However, critics counter that we must first learn to save the planet we already have before pumping billions into a hostile desert in space. The Arks of the future may end up being built only for the few who can afford them, while the rest of the world is left to foot the bill.

Imagine that the so-called Creation was not an abstract concept, not a religious echo, not a poetic metaphor, but a sentient being, endowed with sight, consciousness, and memory. A being that watched the first breath of life billions of years ago. A being that knows the patient, infinite work of evolution—from the first molecule all the way to us. A being that gave shape to the oceans, granted growth to the forests, and imparted motion to the continents. What would this being feel if it looked upon Earth today?
Information About Current Projects
I’m currently working intensively on several major book and film projects, which you can explore on my website www.Redhead.de. The English versions of these projects are available on www.Things-to.com. Since these creative endeavors – including six large-scale book projects – will occupy the next two years, some sections such as DVD Recommendations and Science Fiction Author Biographies will only be updated occasionally or discontinued entirely. Thank you for your understanding and patience — a lot of exciting things are on the way!
Upcoming Book Projects 2026–2027
The journey continues! Over the next two years, several new book projects are in development — a collection of powerful science fiction novels and thrillers that explore technology, humanity, and the boundaries of imagination. Each project has its own world, its own story — and its own vision of the future. Click on the book covers below to discover more about each title, including exclusive previews, concept art, and story insights. Stay tuned — new adventures are coming soon in 2026 and 2027! A quick note about our main website:
Dear Sci-Fi Enthusiasts, I want to draw your attention to an intriguing section on my main website, www.Redhead.de. There, you'll find a special article about my encounter with three well-known science fiction authors in Hamburg. Their work, along with that of many other sci-fi writers, has deeply inspired me in writing my books. On my website "www.Things-to.com," you'll find some of the entries in English.
